Navy Veteran Reindoc, Treasure Island, Ca.

Dates...

Re-enlisted in Salt Lake City, got a haircut and went home to tell my wife what I had done. She was none too happy about that! Reported in to NavVetReindoc at Treasure Island, Ca. They took me back in as an HM1! While there I got orders for FMF school, which I couldn't do because I was still using a cane to walk part of the time. So I had a medboard and was put on 6 months limited duty. They didn't really have anything for me to do so I would make muster at 0700, eat breakfast and head out to the (nude) pond or somewhere for the day. Then one guy didn't make muster and his orders were in and they couldn't find him (turned out he was calling in from back east somewhere) so they made us all muster in person. And, since they had us present they put us to work. I worked at the Branch Clinic. Lisa. Jerrie. Jackie. Living in the barracks was fun. Once walked from the bus station in SF up over Coit Hill, down to the waterfront, turned left walked under the Golden Gate and to Daly City. Took the bus back!

Finally got orders to IDT School in San Diego.

Had an earthquake while I was in the Barracks once that scared the crap out of us. Look up "liquifraction" and the base there is manmade.
